My name is Lukas Allenbaugh and I own the business ARTMUUV where I teach art and animation online.  I have been teaching art (animation, illustration, sculpture, painting, and digital art) to elementary and teenage students consistently for over 25 years.  My teaching includes 4 years as a public school teacher, 18 years as the owner of Artmuuv (Previously Creative Art Network for after-school, during school, and summer programs) and 12 years as an artist in residence (mural painting focus).  I've also been designing video tutorials since 2008 for a large variety of mediums.

 

When designing a class I look at it from the perspective of the learner.  Each unit is evaluated for clarity, connectivity, and appeal.  I continually work on improving my curriculum based on student feedback and design everything as if the student is completely new to the subject they are learning.  My lessons are fun, thorough, and full of practical exercises to build the learner’s skills through an experiential approach.

 

I love what I do and that passion drives my ongoing learning.  I’ve studied traditional art through Cornish College of the Arts, Western Wa University, and a variety of other classes.   The source of my ongoing 3d Modeling and Animation training is through Animation Mentor, Think Tank Training Center of Canada, CG Masters academy, CG Boost Academy, 3d Beast Academy, OM3D,  P2 Design, Berk Kaplan, Creative Shrimp, Elementza, Udemy, Skillshare, InLearning, and much more.

 

I’m deeply fascinated with many art forms and am a strong believer in the integration of art with technology and other disciplines.

 

In my free time I enjoy gardening and partner dancing with my wife, hiking, raising chickens, and spending time with friends and family.
